About Tammy
Originally from Kaikoura I was fortunate enough to be raised in the outdoor and sporting environment. My dad is passionate about hunting and fishing and my mum and step-dad own their own kayaking company meaning I got the best of both worlds. In addition, I grew up watching and being fascinated by my mums work as a Personal Trainer.
I have always had a passion playing sports Netball in particular; I was lucky enough to be selected for the South Island Nationals - Kaikoura Senior Netball team at the age of 13. Finishing my schooling at Nelson Girls High School enabled me to grow into more sports playing Netball Touch Rugby and Volleyball at a higher grade. It was a privilege to work at Whale Watch Kaikoura & Kaikoura Kayaks it kept me very busy during summer seasons which lead me to be able to move down to Christchurch to begin the next chapter of my life at the age of 18. I started working at a merchainse company selling many things from cups to clothing which was a good experience. In August 2019 I was in a sever car crash that made me realise I wanted a job I was more passionate about and to be able to work in the industry I love. I was lucky enough to be offered the role as career advisor at Fit Futures Academy which I am very grateful for.
