Hey guys, it’s Phillipa here from Fit Futures and if you guys follow a lot of fitness people on social media, you may hear them talk about things like if you want to achieve your fitness goals, you need to sacrifice things like your social life.

I completely disagree with this. I think that you can have a great balance of fitness and work and a social life by incorporating them together.

So, some of my tips for getting social and getting fit at the same time is to sign up for an event together. Myself, my sister and my mum are all doing the women’s triathlon in February and this gives us an excuse to see each other even though we live in different cities and it also gives us something to talk about when we catch up on the phone and we can ask about how each other’s training is going.

My second tip is to go to a group fitness class with your friends, and my third tip is to go on a fun hike somewhere that you haven’t been before. Awesome.
