About Jason
Managing Director Jason Laurence has been involved in the fitness industry for over 20 years. His long industry association began while playing professional Rugby League in Australia and UK where he studied his first fitness qualification. He has worked at an International national level for brands such as UFC GYM, Fitness First and Goodlife Health Clubs and has facilitated more than 70+ pre-sale campaigns and club openings across multiple business models.
In 2006 with the Australian Fitness industry rapidly expanding, Jason purchased the first of his three health clubs and established 2020 Business Consultancy specialising in the fitness industry. In 2013 he founded Fit College New Zealand and has been involved in the tertiary education sector ever since.
Along with his role as Managing Director of Fit Futures Academy, he is the principal consultant for 2020 Business Consultancy and currently working with many of the industry’s top independent gym owners and franchisee brands as a mentor and consultant.
Jason is widely regarded as one of the industry’s leading authorities in personal training, lead generation and membership sales... and has been a keynote speaker at the Fitness Industry Asia Pacific Conference in Mumbai India, as well as countless speaking/consultancy engagements across Australia, New Zealand, USA and the United Kingdom.
